Sculture dalle collezioni Zeri e Santarelli
Museo Fondazione Roma Via del Corso, 320, Rom Telefon: + 39 06 6786209 An original exhibition devoted to two great Italian collectors: the renowned art critic Federico Zeri and the Santarelli family. The exhibition entitled Sculptures from the Santarelli and Zeri Collections, curated by Andrea G. De Marchi with the scientific advice of Dario del Bufalo, displays an extraordinary nucleus of over ninety works, mainly statues, large stone fragments and low-reliefs which date from Antiquity to the Baroque period. The masterpieces, which on this occasion will be shown to the public for the first time, represent Federico Zeri and the Santarelli family’s great interest in sculpture although they each have a different stance and aptitude. The exhibits are grouped by theme: representation of the Roman period, representation of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, sculptures and large fragments, low-reliefs, small fragments and samples of coloured marbles from the Imperial age.
