Colorful and soft against marble and bronze
The exhibition at the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro of Milan introduces works by 80 artists from the latest trends in Italian sculpture working with the material plastic.
Curated by Marco Meneguzzo, the exhibition shows under the ambitious title works by artists who were all born in the second half of last century, including Nunzio and Dessi, Cattelan, Bartolini, Dynys, Arienti, Moro, Beecroft, and even younger artists such as Cecchini, Sissi, Demetz, Cuoghi, Simeti, Previdi and Gennari.
Is there a new definition? Do the artists accept everything indiscriminately? How do they deal with sculpture in construction or architecture? These are questions of this show.
In the first five years, the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation placed the emphasis of its work on promoting internationally-oriented research on sculpture. It also puts a strong focus on the work of young artists.
