The most recent large-scale object from our workshop is the Quadriga on the reconstructed  residence,  Braunschweig Castle. With a height of 30 feet, it is the largest quadriga in Europe. The original was destroyed in  World War II. The work was reproduced from a cast of the original 1:3 model by the Dresden sculptor, Ernst Rietschel,  and according to historical photographs of 1857/60, under the artistic direction of Dr. Bernd Wedemeyer, Brunswick. The Quadriga, a large triumphal, leaf tendril-covered chariot drawn by four fiery horses and driven by the  goddess of Brunswick, 'Brunonia', exactly reflects Rietschel's still famous in the 20th century, richly detailed art work to  the smallest detail. The Quadriga weighs 26 tons and has a highly technical, elaborate internal support structure  fulfilling engineering requirements.
