The sculpture park on the Channel Island of Gernsey was founded in 1998 with the help of John Mills, president of the Royal Society of British Sculpture. Almost immediately after opening, works were procured by collectors in America, New Zealand, Europe, and of course Great Britain. Since its opening, media such as Country Life, Country Illustrated, English Garden, Country Landowners, Gardens Illustrated, Le Figaro, Interiors Illustré, and the Bangkok Times have reported plentifully and enthusiastically about the project, with its spectacular annual exhibitions and festivals (starting in May).

In 2010 alone, 130 sculptures by 57 different sculptors were exhibited on the site. In 2009 there were 60 sculptures by 133 artists. Over the years there have been a total of 451 sculptors exhibiting 3,082 pieces. The artists use the backdrop of the wild sub-tropical gardens, the two small lakes and the more formal and slightly less wild gardens. The ArtParks are part of the National Sculpture Festival, which takes place every year in May.

The Artparks show sculptures for the garden, public spaces, offices, schools, indoor and outdoor spaces, etc. They cover an enormously wide range, including figurative, abstract, kinetic, land art, etc. The website also displays numerous sales. The great variety of work gives the company the chance to show sculpture of all kinds to as many people as possible.
