The Swedish sculptors? association is a non-profit organization for professional sculptors from Sweden. Founded in 1975 it aims at working for the interests of sculptors and sculpture in Sweden.
The association has participated and arranged a large number of shows in parks, castles and galleries in various parts of Sweden as well as abroad. The purpose is to show the public and potential buyers examples of the members work as well as how sculpture can enhance the environment.
Our association works to improve the conditions for Swedish sculptors and to ensure that the sculptor?s knowledge is utilized. The association also works to increases the interest for sculpture and public works in the general public, cultural institutions and mass media. Our aim is that public sculpture should be seen and debated which is seldom the case in Sweden.
We welcome contacts with sculptors from other countries for future exchange of exhibitions and/or information.
