Timm Ulrichs is the the winner of the 7th Award of Real Estate Management for mfi AG Essen. Mfi-Prize for Art in the construction projects at public buildings is endowed with 50,000 ?.
Ulrich has established himself with his work, "Versunkenes village" over 100 other submissions.
With the architectural sculpture, it refers to the village to make Fröttmaning near Munich in 1950 had to place a landfill.
But the Church of the Holy Cross from the Middle Ages with precious wall paintings has been preserved. Now been planted at the foot of the garbage mountain Ulrich built a second church, although it is not walkable. The church is a picture of the distant Holy Cross Church at 150 m, and disappears into the ground some of the garbage heap and that is so reminiscent of the vanished village.
