Marko Lulic receives award by the art foundation Erich Hauser in Rottweil (D)

15 artists have been nominated for this years Erich Hauser foundation award, the jury chose Marko Lulic. Combined with the award is the realisation of a project at the foundation, which will take several weeks. There will be a catalogue available for the following exhibition.

Marko Lulic was born in 1972 in Vienna and was raised in Croatia and Vienna. He studied at the college for applied art at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien. His pieces have been shown at several international single and group exhibitions, for example at the Frankfurter Kunstverein, Storefront for art and architecture, New York, Secession, Vienna and the museum for contemporary art Belgrad.

Marko Lulic is keeping busy with the relationship between shape and ideology of sculpture as well as architecture. He focuses on structures, but he is also interested in the formal, social and political aspects of sculpture.

Marko Lulic will be designing a sculptural installation during his stay at the art foundation, which will focus on the given architecture and artistic arrangements of the Erich Hauser foundation. He will also be creating a film about his stay at the foundation.
