Although the term ‘plaster moulding’ no longer is very common, Günter Weinreuter GmbH Plaster Moulding offers the sculptor all the services of a modern art foundry. It was founded in 1965 as a small family business by the qualified plasterer and plaster mould caster Günter Weinreuter and his son, Gunter Weinreuter, continues since 2006 the second generation with the same love of art. Since 1980, the small family business is based in Freiberg a.N., located between Stuttgart and Heilbronn, and provides services for artists and museums in southern Germany.
Each sculpture and each model is treated individually and carefully. In the small family business, the requirements of the mould and the cast are discussed in collaboration with the sculptor. This allows casting of the molded silicone models in plaster, stone and various plastics, whether individually or as a series of several hundred.
The dimensions of the objects have almost no limits: from finely engraved representational objects to oversized sculptures and fountains for outdoor areas. After the moulding and the casting, the object can also be mounted and installed on demand.
Furthermore, Weinreuter Plaster Moulding also provides services for museums, such as stone restoration, reproductions, art transportation and construction. The making of architectural models, death masks, model and body moulds complete the range of the family business.
