Tony Cragg ?Second Nature? at MdM in Salzburg (A)

Tony Cragg is one of the most important sculptors today. His work is defined by its immense richness in surprising forms, which he developed during his 30 years of sculpturing. He redefined the parameters of modern sculptures.

Basis for his thinking are often new insights of natural science.

Even in his drawings you can see Craggs perception of the metamorphoses of items, landscape and figure.

This book combines his most important sculptures since 2000 and 120 drawings, which allows him, to make visible what his sculptures couldn?t tell. Here it is shown, which basis between micro and macrostructures is important for the sculptural thinking of Cragg and what fascinates the artist: the visualisation of the invisible, wave, particles, radiance and current in space between bodies.
